From nursing to creative design Mel firmly believes in the power of simplicity and beautiful interiors to transform daily life.

After graduating from the University of Richmond’s Interior Decorating program, Mel has worked and collaborated with a variety of high end designers which has provider her with extensive and broad experience.

What motivates you to design?

You can make magic with essentially anything, from a piece of fabric to a piece of artwork to add visual interest and a meaningful focal point to any room. The passion and excitement to make our everyday spaces look and feel spectacular and breath taking. With the right selection of colors, textures and carefully chosen details, spaces can be interesting, glamorous and fun, catching your eyes as soon as you enter the space.

We know you love designing , but what about it do you love the most?

The process. From the blank questionnaire and first interview withe the client to the photoshoot at the completion of the project. From the sketching, modeling, the mood boards, to the furniture, floor, textiles and finish selections, its all such a fun and exciting ride! The end goal being to cultivate a space that is welcoming, and reflects those that will utilize that space.
